Nyx150 - AP Configuration

NOTE: Your Nyx 150 Router is compatible with any Operating System for setup, it only requires a internet browser to access it. ( IE, Mozilla, Firefox , Chrome, Safari, etc)

 
Please try the following steps to setup your router for Wireless (Wi-Fi) properly.

1. Connect your Nexxt router to your PC with an Ethernet cable on the LAN port (Yellow), and ensure there is not connection with the modem or main router to the .
 
2. Verify that your PC has created the Local Area network on Network Connections.

3. Verify that the Firewall and Antivirus system are disabled to avoid any problems or restrictions.
 
4. Once all connected,  open your browser (IE,Mozilla,Firefox,etc) and enter the IP address of the router "192.168.0.1" by default. This will prompt you to type some credentials to access the router webpage.

 
5. Use "admin" as password. 

6. On the main screen, click on “Advanced Settings” in the middle of the webpage.


7. On “Wireless Settings”, click on “Wireless Basic Settings”.

8.  Verify or modify your Wireless network name (Primary SSID) and be sure that is marked on “enable Wireless Function”.

9. Check the wireless channels (Channels 6 and 2 – recommended).

10. Click on “Ok” to save the changes.


11. On “Wireless Settings”, click on “Wireless Security”.

12. Select the Security Mode (for example WPA2-PSK), WPA Algorithms on “AES” and on the “Key”, type the password for your Wireless network.


13. Click on “Ok” to save the changes. 

14. 
Reboot router, you can reboot your router on "System Tools" on the Reboot router option.

15. After reboot the system, get inside the configuration page again and select the
 “Advanced Settings” option, select "LAN Settings" change the IP address and press OK, the router will reboot for change the change. NOTE ( The IP address will depend of the network provide by the main router, for check this you need to know this detail to configure the IP for the AP configuration, if you not know this connect your computer to your main router and check the IP assign to your computer)



16. Get to the router configuration page again but in this case using the IP address you configure in the previous step, get on the option of "DHCP Server".

17. In there you will remove the tag from the "DHCP Server" enable after this press OK for save the configuration.



18. Here you going to disable the "DHCP Server" removing the tag from enable, press OK for save and reboot the Nyx 150.

19. When the Nyx 150 is already up, you only need to connect the cable from the LAN port of the Nyx 150 to the LAN port on the main router or modem.
