Acrux600: Setup USB printer Services

This article applies for Acrux 600 Router.

OTE: Your N Router is compatible with any Operating System for setup, it only requires a internet browser (IE, Mozilla, Firefox , Chrome, Safari, etc).

The USB printing service allows you to connect a USB printer to the device and thus all clients on your network can print anything they want on their PCs. The Router can identify a printer automatically as long as it is successfully connected.

Here are the steps to enable the USB printer service on the Acrux600 router:

1. Connect your Nexxt router to your PC with an Ethernet cable on the LAN port. Keep the modem DSL connected to the WAN port on your Acrux600 router.

2. Verify that your PC has created the Local Area network on Network Connections.

3. Verify that the Firewall and Antivirus system are disabled to avoid any problems or restrictions.
4. Once all connected,  open your browser (IE,Mozilla,Firefox,etc) and enter the IP address of the router "" by default. This will prompt you to type some credentials to access the router webpage.

5. Use "admin" as user and password. 

6. Go to "Advanced" at the top right of your setup page.

7. Go to "USB" and then go to the "Printer" tab.

8. Place a checkmark on "Enable Printer".

9. Press "Save" to save changes.

10. Connect your USB Printer to the USB port on the device.

On your PC (connected to the device), go to "Printers and Faxes” inside Control panel and select “Add a printer” on appearing window.

12. Click on "Next".

13. Select “Local printer attached to this computer” and click ”Next".

​14. Select "Create a new port" and choose "Standard TCP/IP Port", then click on "Next".

15. Click on "Next".

16. Enter router's LAN IP address and click on "Next".

17. Click “Standard” under Device Type and select “Generic Network Card”, then click “Next”.

18. Click on "Finish".

19. Select "Have Disk". If not, choose the printer driver from the list above and continue to step 21.

20. Click “Browse”, select corresponding drive file and click “Open”. At last click “OK”.

21. Click on "Next".

22.  Define a name for the printer and click “Next”.

23.  Click on "Finish" and test your printer feature.
