Email notifications setup

This article applies for CCTV systems XPY4002-KX, XPY4004-KX & XPY8004-KX, XPY4004-HD & XPY8004-HD models.

 
The email settings for your DVR helps you control your recordings, report any changes to the DVR settings, and send alerts if the alarm settings

NOTE. It should be noted that the client must keep the alarms active in the DVR so that it can send an email of each event.

1. Start on the DVR. And then select the settings option, once here a window will ask you for the credentials to log in.
2. Once logged in go to System Settings --- Network ---- Email.
3. Here we fill in the fields to configure the SMTP server from which the notification and the recipients will be sent:


 


 
• Authentication with the server: We will enable this checkbox if your SMTP server needs to be authenticated with username and password.

• SMTP Server: The SMTP address of the mail from which the notification will be sent. (For example, Gmail uses smtp.gmail.com)

• SMTP Port: The number or port of the SMTP server (For example, Gmail uses 587 or 465).

• Enable SSL: Enable this checkbox if your SMTP server needs to be authenticated under SSL • Sender: Name of the sender of this mail

• Sender's address: mail from which the notice or notification will be sent.

• Select Recipients: This option has up to a maximum of 3 recipients to whom the notice or notification will be sent.

Recipient: Name of the person who will receive the mail

Address: Mail of the person who will receive the mail

• Attached JPEG file: Enable this box if you want to receive an image or photo file of the notification or alarm.

• Interval: Time intervals that tge System sends you the notice

4. Press "test", so that the system sent a test mail to the recipient, if the test is successful, press next to save the changes and then right click to exit the main page
