N-Routers Wireless setup

This article applies for Nebula150, Stealth150, Solaris300, Nyx150, Tarvos300, Acrux300, Polaris300 and Viking150.

NOTE: Your N Router is compatible with any Operating System for setup, it only requires a internet browser to access it. ( IE, Mozilla, Firefox , Chrome, Safari, etc)


If you don't know which firmware version has your router, before proceed first check this link to know the Firmware version of your router model: Which router firmware do I have?

 

If you have the following issues:

- No WLAN light on

- No Wireless signal
- No browsing Internet
- Wireless setup

Please try the following steps to setup your router for Wireless (Wi-Fi) properly.


1. Connect your Nexxt router to your PC with an Ethernet cable on the LAN port (Yellow).
 
2. Connect your Nexxt router to your ISP modem with an Ethernet Cable on the WAN port (Blue).

3. Verify that your PC has created the Local Area network on Network Connections.

4. Verify that the Firewall and Antivirus system are disabled to avoid any problems or restrictions.
 
5. Once all connected,  open your browser (IE,Mozilla,Firefox,etc) and enter the IP address of the router "192.168.0.1" by default. This will prompt you to type some credentials to access the router webpage.

a. Use "admin" as user and password. 

b. 
On the menu, click on “WLAN Settings”.

c. On WLAN Settings, click on “Basic Settings”.
 
 
d.  Verify or modify your Wireless network name (SSID) and be sure that is marked on “enable” on  “Broadcast (SSID)”
.

e. Check the wireless channels (Channels 6 and 2 – recommended).

f. Click on “Apply” to save the changes.

g. On WLAN Settings, click on “Security Settings”.

 
h. Select the Security Type (for example WPA2-Personal) and on the Passphrase, type the password for your Wireless network.
 

i.  Click on “Apply” to save the changes.  

j.  Reboot router, you can reboot your router on "System Tools" on the Reboot router option.

a. Use "admin" as password. 

b. On the main screen, click on “Advanced Settings” in the middle of the webpage.


c. On “Wireless Settings”, click on “Wireless Basic Settings”.

d.  Verify or modify your Wireless network name (Primary SSID) and be sure that is marked on “enable Wireless Function”.

e. Check the wireless channels (Channels 6 and 2 – recommended).

f. Click on “Ok” to save the changes.


g. On “Wireless Settings”, click on “Wireless Security”.

h. Select the Security Mode (for example WPA2-PSK), WPA Algorithms on “AES” and on the “Key”, type the password for your Wireless network.


i. Click on “Ok” to save the changes. 

j. 
Reboot router, you can reboot your router on "System Tools" on the Reboot router option.


 

a. Use "admin" as user and password. 

b. On the menu, click on “Wireless”.
 

c. On Wireless, click on “Wireless Settings".
 
 

d. Modify the name of your Wireless Network on "Wireless Network Name".

e. On "Region", choose your country.

f. Select "Enable Wireless Router Radio" to enable Wireless.

g. Press "Save" to save your changes.

h. On Wireless, press ""Wireless Security".
 


i. On Wireless Security, choose the security type (For wxample WPA/WPA2-Personal).

j. On "PSK Password", type the password for your wireless network.

k. Press "Save" to save your changes.

l. Reboot the router. You can reboot your router on "system tools" and then "Reboot" option.
